I am still upset about the turn out of the election, but God tells us to respect people in authority over us. So I will. But I would just like to say that I saw Sarah Palin in Iowa, and it was the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. It was quite the experience, let me tell you. And I'm also going to tell you a few things on my mind with politics these days...
- Sarah Palin's wardrobe. Who cares? Honestly. If that's peoples issue, then you need to prioritize. We are in an economic crisis, a war, and in the middle of a bailout, and your conserned about what a vice presidential candidate is wearing? Get a life. It was a smart move on the GOP's part anyways. The clothes went up in worth when she wore them, and they're auctioning them off for charity. That's just smart. Democrats were just mad because they didn't think about it, and no one would care about what Joe Biden wore. Ha.
- Big Three Automobile Bailout? Why? So they can be irresponsible with the governments money? Go ahead and make some more SUV's GM. Dumb. Just plain dumb. I understand that people will lose their jobs. Wanna know what could open jobs up though? OFFSHORE DRILLING. 250,000 to 700,000 jobs. But no, instead lets save some polar bears. Again, dumb. Just plain dumb.
I also got to hang out with Superchick, Stellar Kart, Article One, and A Road Less Traveled this month. That was cool. Melissa from Superchick autographed my sketch in my sketchbook that had the lyrics to "One Girl Revolution". It was awesome, not going to lie.
Our school has been doing a canned food drive for the past week, and today was the final day. It was a competition between classes to see which class could bring the most. The prize is breakfast tomorrow. Juniors one with an awesome 876 cans. Go juniors!! Our school is also doing a Breast Cancer fund raiser, hosted by the girls basketball team. It is complete with pink jerseys at the game tonight! They sold t-shirts, and whatever homeroom had the most students with pink zone shirts won a pizza lunch tomorrow. Guess who won? Yep, my Prom Committee homeroom. 100% of us had our t-shirts. Not to mention we decorated the whole room pink. I mean pink balloons, streamers, ribbon, fabric, the whole nine yards. And I have pink extensions in my hair for the game tonight! I can't wait. I'm glad our school is getting so involved with community service sorts of things. And the Breast Cancer thing is something that just hits home (my mom had it almost 3 years ago...) so going to the game tonight is going to be awesome! Just to see all those people doing this for the cause. I'll be sure to post pictures here soon.
